Giftware News continues to bring its readers valuable resources, and this summer has added to the staff.
Pan Demetrakakes has joined the staff of Giftware News as managing editor. Demetrakakes has been a business-to-business editor for more than 20 years, mostly covering food, beverages and other consumer goods. His most recent post was as editor of Specialty Coffee Retailer.
Contributing Writer Jean Thompson was public relations director of the Buyers Market of American Craft for five years. In the July issue, she takes a look at the map and postal images-inspired trend in giftware. Thompson has a background in news and features journalism.
JoAnne Stone-Geier, a contributing editor, will present “Retail Business by the Book,” a business column designed to introduce retailers to books, ideas, people and programs that help them solve problems and create profit. An industry veteran, she has been an intra-preneur, entrepreneur, wholesaler, speaker, co-author and advisor.
